Only pure water molecules are small enough to pass through the Polyamide layer. The Rejection Stream: Dissolved impurities are washed away to the drain (wastewater), preventing them from ever reaching your glass. Maintenance & Service Life To protect your membrane and ensure it lasts 1 to 3 years, you must replace your sediment and carbon pre-filters every 6–12 months. Signs it is time to replace your RO Membrane: Reduced Flow: The storage tank takes significantly longer to fill than usual.
